The Pandemic H1N1 (Swine Flu)

Having consulted with the Chairperson of the Board of Management the following interim arrangements will apply

·Encourage a calm atmosphere among staff, children and parents throughout the school

·Follow the directions given in DES Circular 47/09and ongoing local advice received from general Practitioner.

·Directions will be given to all staff with regards to teaching the pupils correct hygiene within the school and indeed general good practice.

·Each child will be encouraged to bring their own named colours, pens, pencils for their own use.

·Each child will be encouraged to bring in their own face flannel or hand towel for their own use.

·Towels will not be available for communal use.

·Liquid soap will be readily available throughout the school..

·Sanitisers will be situated in all classrooms, the corridor, disabled bathroom, office and kitchen areas.
