Rathmichael National School

Rathmichael Parish National School is located in Shankill, South County Dublin. It is a 12 teacher-school, with a Principal, 8 mainstream class teachers and 3 resource teachers. We have 2 special needs assistants, a school secretary and a school caretaker.
The school was established in 1825 and was originally located on the site of the Silver Tassie. The current site was given to the parish by Sir Charles William Compton Domville in 1891.
In 1892, the school was completed and dedicated to the Rev. Edward Burton, the first Rector of Rathmichael Church who had died in 1890.
The school's patron is the Church of Ireland Bishop of Dublin and Glendalough.
